These past few months have been extremely busy as we get closer to the start of the big race. Summer feels like it is flying by so time for an update!

On track for the Mini Transat this September

A 95 nm overnight race in great conditions against fierce competition. This AAR covers the second part of the exciting Plastimo Lorient Mini (PLM) race where 85 Minis competed in this double-handed, mixed gender event.

The first race of the 2023 Season is here. Jane and I are in Lorient, France ready to participate in the Plastimo Lorient Mini, a 250nm double-handed race.

Back in France and time to kick off season 3 of this campaign! On Thursday afternoon (30 Mar) I made it to La Trinité-sur-Mer where Terminal Leave has been waiting for my return.

Since U.S. Patriot Sailing was there for me when I needed it most, my mission now is to give back to the team to help more veterans navigate their own challenges through sailing. Let’s explore how U.S. Patriot Sailing has changed since 2020 and the impact of this campaign on the organization.

Season 2 in France Complete!

This year I sailed 4,078 nautical miles (NM) in the Atlantic waters. Those miles covered the west coast of France, the English Channel, the Celtic Sea, and the Azores. Finishing the second season of this campaign brings my total miles sailed on Terminal Leave to 7,484 nm with almost five thousand allocated to racing. Each mile makes me that much more prepared for the 2023 Mini Transat.
